Celtic Yuletide at the Legacy

Edit Delete

Michael Londra, the Irish tenor best known as the voice of Riverdance on Broadway, presents an evening of "Christmas from Ireland" told in song, dance and classic stories of his youth.   You will hear traditional, heartwarming Irish carols like "Winter, Fire and Snow" and versions of Christmas songs like "Silent Night." The evening will also feature Celtic songs of a new Ireland including Michael's popular carol "Beyond the Star."  Michael also sings many carols more familiar to international audiences like "O Come Emmanuel" and "The First Noel" but sung in a more Celtic traditional style.

Irish musicians join Michael onstage to perform age-old Celtic airs on the haunting uilleann pipes, fiddle, low whistles and the national drum of Ireland, the bodhran.  They thrill the audience with their own frenetic traditional gigs and reels.  The musicians are some of the most popular and traditional in the US.

Rounding out the evening are the breathtaking dancers built from Michael's connections to Riverdance.  They perform traditional and modern dances that reflect the two worlds that Ireland lives in today.  The dancers are some of the best in the world, performing with Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and many more productions.  At Christmas, they present breathtaking steps especially choreographed to celebrate the season.

Come and find yourself in the affection and the glow of Christmas in Ireland.  An evening guaranteed to send you out into the winter's night warmed by the spirit of a Celtic Yuletide.  Performances will be at the Legacy Theater, 1160 Buchanan in Carthage on December 13 and 14 at 7:00 PM and December 15 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $60/VIP, $45/adult and $25/child (12 and under).  Call (217) 357-9479 or go to thelegacytheater.com to reserve your tickets today!
