IMPACT @ Carthage Library

IMPACT is a weekly event held on Monday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm for Middle and High School students.

Students have the opportunity to choose activites, such as cooking, science experiments, and various STEAM activities. ( science, technology, Art, and  Math) IMPACT group members may come anytime throughout the event and do not have to attend regularly or sign up to join. A sign in sheet is available during each session.

Students participating in Impact may also assist Library Staff in planning and decorating for events.

IMPACT will break during Christmas Eve and New Years Eve rusuming Janurary 7th.

Farmer's Market

Shop every Monday at the Carthage Farmer's Market on the northwest corner of the Hancock County Courthouse lawn from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM. You will find fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, crafts, and other assorted sundries. Enjoy one of the finest markets in the beautiful surroundings of the historic Carthage square!

Play to Learn at Carthage Public Library

Play to learn is a pre literacy story time and play group for children ages 0-3 ( older siblings welcome)

Early literacy and socialization are a great way for parents and caregivers to connect while assisting their children in growth and development. We are closed and there will be no Play to learn on Veterans day, Monday, Nov. 11th.

IMPACT is an after school program developed for teens and tweens. We meet Mondays at the Carthage Public Library. We plan activities, share skills/talents, have special guests, discuss current events, cook/bake, work on STEM projects, and more! For information contact your Carthage Library at (217) 357-3232
