IMPACT @ Carthage Library

IMPACT is a weekly event held on Monday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm for Middle and High School students.

Students have the opportunity to choose activites, such as cooking, science experiments, and various STEAM activities. ( science, technology, Art, and  Math) IMPACT group members may come anytime throughout the event and do not have to attend regularly or sign up to join. A sign in sheet is available during each session.

Students participating in Impact may also assist Library Staff in planning and decorating for events.

IMPACT will break during Christmas Eve and New Years Eve rusuming Janurary 7th.

Play to Learn @ WOW Park

Carthage Public Library invites all children 0-3 and their caregivers to join us at the WOW Park for PLay to Learn.  Stories, plus playtime at the park.  Older siblings are welcome.  Co-sponsored by Early Beginnings and Early PACT HeadStart.  Mondays June 10, 17, 24, July 8, 15, 22, 10:00 am.

If the weather is bad, the program will be held at the Library.

Farmer's Market

Shop every Monday at the Carthage Farmer's Market on the northwest corner of the Hancock County Courthouse lawn from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM. You will find fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, crafts, and other assorted sundries. Enjoy one of the finest markets in the beautiful surroundings of the historic Carthage square!

Movie @ Library

Monday Movie Matinee @ Carthage Public Library.

Mondays June 17, 24, July 8, 15, 22, 29 - 1:30 p0m.

Movies will be rated G, check with the Library for titles.

All ages welcome, but children 5 and under need to be supervised by an adult or responsible teen.

Play to Learn at Carthage Public Library

Play to learn is a pre literacy story time and play group for children ages 0-3 ( older siblings welcome)

Early literacy and socialization are a great way for parents and caregivers to connect while assisting their children in growth and development. We are closed and there will be no Play to learn on Veterans day, Monday, Nov. 11th.
