United Way Spaghetti Dinner

United Way of the Great River Region will host a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Monday, April 9 at the Hawkeye Restaurant in Keokuk, IA.  Ticket price is $8.00/person.  Dine in 5:00 PM-6:30 PM OR 6:30 PM-8:00 PM.  Drive thru and carry out also provided.  Dinner includes spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, side salad, drink and homemade dessert.  All proceeds benefit United Way of the Great River Region serving Clark County, MO; Hancock County, IL; and Lee County, IA.  Tickets available from Amy Graham, Carthage Community Development, 538 Wabash, Carthage or call (217) 357-3800.

IMPACT @ Carthage Library

IMPACT is a weekly event held on Monday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm for Middle and High School students.

Students have the opportunity to choose activites, such as cooking, science experiments, and various STEAM activities. ( science, technology, Art, and  Math) IMPACT group members may come anytime throughout the event and do not have to attend regularly or sign up to join. A sign in sheet is available during each session.

Students participating in Impact may also assist Library Staff in planning and decorating for events.

IMPACT will break during Christmas Eve and New Years Eve rusuming Janurary 7th.

PreSchool Story Hour

PreSchool Story Hours at the Carthage Public Library.  Two sessions each Monday:  10:15 am and 1:15 pm.  March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. For children 3-6 years. Adults are welcome to stay (their help is always appreciated) but are not required to do so. Younger children may attend with an adult. FREE.  Stories, movement, crafts, snacks.  Donations of snacks appreciated.  Pre-registration appreciated.  For more information contact the Carthage Public Library, 217-357-3232,
