Baxter's Vineyards

Baxter’s Vineyards is a small family-owned winery in Nauvoo, and Illinois’ Oldest Winery! The winery was established in 1857 by Emile Baxter and is run by 5th generation of the Baxter Family today. Baxter’s Vineyards is still producing and bottling Baxter’s Old Nauvoo Brand wines, growing 15 acres of grapes, offering pick-your-own apples in many varieties, and growing pumpkins as well! Baxter’s also has a unique gift shop, Carol’s Pies, juices, jams, jellies, wine decorations and accessories, home wine-making supplies, and more!

Baxter's Vineyards offers free wine tasting & self guided winery tours daily Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. & Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. January through March, we are open Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. & Sunday 12 noon to 5 p.m.
