Hearts of Hancock Humane Society

The Hearts of Hancock Humane Society, founded in 2001, is located approximately two miles northwest of Carthage. The shelter, built in 2003, houses cats and dogs until a suitable adoptive home can be found. The group holds many fundraisers throughout the year, and because they receive no grant or government funding, is always in search of volunteers.
