April is Financial Literacy Month. Carthage Public Library is offering a program called “Money Monsters” from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for families with children ages 4-12 on Wednesdays starting April 12 at 4:30 pm. This is a 7-week offering each week will host a new topic the topics are as follows: saving (4/12), careers (4/19), protecting your things (4/26), how much things really cost (5/3), becoming a good borrower (5/10), giving (5/17), and starting a business (5/24). Participants do not need to attend weekly. There will be a story and then an opportunity for families to discuss and have a related activity.
