Carthage Kiwanis 79th Anniversary

This is a quick follow-up to our club's 79th Anniversary celebration last week. First, I want to thank those of you who were able to attend. I feel it was a great success, despite a few minor hiccups along the way (ie, the President not able to attend due to illness).
Some of the highlights:
* A proclamation from the city of Carthage recognizing the milestone (presented by Donna Walker)
* The guest speaker was Gov. Jim Rochford, governor of the Kiwanis Eastern Iowa-Illinois District
* The presentation of a gift of $900 from the Carthage Kiwanis to the September 11 Children's Fund
The feedback thus far has been very positive. If anyone has any comments or questions on the event, I'd love to hear them.
