I am looking for any information about the time that Joseph and his brother Hyrum were shot. Did Joseph Smith shoot the first shot and did he kill anyone? How did he get the gun and from whom?

Joseph and Hyrum brought the guns with them.
They were not locked up in a cell, but were able to move about the upper floor freely.
