Plans are confirmed for the Hancock County Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 4, 2021!  Parade, vendors, live entertainment, games, and fireworks will make this a memorable day to salute our veterans, our first responders, and celebrate our country's freedom!  See the full schedule of events.

Begin your Independence Day celebration with the Hancock County parade and festivities in the historic downtown district of Carthage!  With the beautiful Hancock County Courthouse as the backdrop, viewers will enjoy fire trucks, floats, novelty groups, antique tractors, and much, much more!  The 2021 parade starts this year at 1:00 PM and the theme is "Believe!"  We will pay tribute to our Hancock County first responders!  After the parade, folks can relax in the shade on the courthouse lawn and enjoy live entertainment, kids' games, great food and multiple vendors! At dusk, another fantastic fireworks show on display near Illini West High School.  Parade Registration Form available here.
